    Re: About Dr. Baxter...

I must have joined about 6 months after it opened then. I know I didn't join until AFTER September 2004, because it was that month that I acquired a room and a computer, and my earlier lengthy period of homelessness was ended. In any case, at the time that I joined, the intensive pre-planning was evident.

You can see your join date at the top right of any post:

So you joined when the forum was about 7 months old.

    Re: About Dr. Baxter...

I was looking for that -- I knew it was here somewhere. I never realized I was one of the original members. Also, it's interesting to note that the only reason I first joined was that my web designer at the time told me to go to a whole bunch of different message boards and link to my site, because it would be a good way to get hits. In retrospect, I'm not sure how ethical that is, but I thought about every subject that interested me, and I must have gone to about 40 or 50 different message boards. But PsychLinks is the only one I stuck with.

This place came into my life at the right moment too Mary. And I'm grateful for everything about this place - every day. And I also believe that we all make this place what it is. The members here support one another and don't shy away from sharing their experiences. That's why this place is what it is.... (Thanks to Dr. Baxter for creating it in the first place )

    Re: About Dr. Baxter...

I never thought I'd be sharing my personal stories with people I've never met before, but this site is very, very helpful. Should be called an INsite.... Thank you so much Dr. Baxter, were all very lucky that you created this, and your patients are very lucky as well.
