Thread: Controlling Personalities

  1. Controlling Personalities

    Hello again.
I was wondering how you would define a 'controlling personality', and if anyone knew of any psychological studies that may have been carried out on these types of individuals, or tests carried out inorder to assertain if an individual was controlling?
    Thanks

If you look for information on domestic violence or spousal abuse, you'll find quite a bit. A good example is Dr. Don Dutton, who has written quite a bit on male spousal abusers and their characteristics - see http://www.psychlinks.ca/pages/domestic.htm for a link to his site and other information.

There is lots more information (although no guarantees as to quality) in this Google Search.

Thanks for the advice. I found what I was looking for.
    Cheers
