I can't avoid caffeine without the withdrawal symptoms either, although in a pinch I can switch to tea (I had to do that while I was on chemo and for quite a while afterwards, like 2 years).

Fortunately it seems to help rather than cause migraines for me.

Re: What are your triggers for migraine?

l have heard of Caffeine causing headaches and medications with Caffeine being triggers for Migraines and switching from taking pills every time l felt a Migraine come on, l will take regular Tylenol and have a coffee and if l take Migraine medication, l always take a cup of coffee, but l usually have one or two cups of coffee per day and then water with ice chips. l do keep a Migraine diary so that has helped me know my triggers and Stress causes Migraines for me. The weather is a big factor for me so l make sure l treat it before l go for an IV at the clinic.
