Researchers at the University of Michigan and other institutions gave six people each 10 grams of curcumin and gave another six people each 12 grams of curcumin—the latter is equivalent to 192 teaspoons of turmeric powder—and then analyzed their blood. They were only able to find intact curcumin molecules in one of the subjects 30 minutes later.
