Re: 3 Positive Things Part 7

    1. The hardware store has a store map on their website so I won't have to uselessly wander through 20 aisles looking for a new smoke alarm to replace the one that's beyond its expiry date and has started randomly chirping with or without a battery.
    2. I saw a large snake yesterday. It was probably dead since it was right by the side of the road but I certainly didn't stop to investigate.
    3. I see the counsellor in a week's time so I should be able to discuss some of the latest stuff then. I don't have a plan to start calling him "my counsellor" rather than "the counsellor" though because I have to remain detached.

Yeah I wouldn't stop to investigate a large snake either. Too big a risk that it's a politician or a Jehova's Witness waiting to snag you with questions and pamphlets.

Good point, the state election is coming up and you never know what lengths they might go to to get a captive audience.

With all the snakes in Australia, they need to put mothballs down both sides of the roads and sidewalks

Why is that? Do mothballs deter snakes in some way? Like salt around a haunted house?

The snake repellent granules I use are basically ground up moth balls, but I don't know if they are effective -- though my guess is they help. This year, we haven't seen any rattlesnakes anywhere, even where we don't use the granules. It at least increases my feelings of self-efficacy

    1. Seat warmer prevents me from getting sciatica while driving.

    2. Taco Bell drive-thru is a lot faster where I live than the big city.

    3. Sparrows everywhere. Even outside the bathroom window. (I have been feeding them sunflowers, cracked corn, and other chicken feed. And they drink a lot of water now, at least because there are so many sparrows now.)

Is that Jimmy cracked corn? Or the generic Walmart brand?

Both. In rural areas, Walmart customer service will crack corn if you ask nicely

I don't actually know what crack corn is.

Once dry, the corn can be shelled, removing the kernels from the cob. The kernels should then be ground in a grain grinder on a course, large setting. If no grinder is available, the dried kernels can be cracked by placing small quantities into a plastic zip bag and using a hammer to gently fracture them into pieces.May 7, 2019
    Does Walmart carry cracked corn?
