My cousin's viewing was Wednesday night and I didn't cry. Her funeral was yesterday and I didn't cry until I got in the car afterwards and I just broke down sobbing and I've been crying a lot today. I'm sad for myself and I'm sad for the many people who loved her. And sad for her dog. I mean dogs love and miss people. :( It's hard.

Death makes a lot of people angry including me. It's difficult to process the usual questions of "why?" "how come", etc. And, yes, pets do grieve. To assist your cousin's dog, if you can, see if they can provide the dog with some of your cousin's clothing. Your cousin's scent will bring comfort. Moreover, give yourself time to grieve and remember. It takes time to process a loss. I will keep you in my thoughts.
