Depression: The Caretaker

A depressive doesn't always know how her illness affects those around her. Or if she does, she might try not to think about it too much. Watching this video of Eric was both painful and illuminating for me. I saw, in my husband's tired expressions, the weight he's carried, and continues to carry each day as my spouse.

I think this video is more important than the one Matt and Diana made of me because people with bad brain chemistry can usually find each other and form a support network. But the caretakers? They often keep quiet about the mayhem at home, and don't usually get to spill their guts.

Here is Eric (Therese' husband). Telling it like it is. Not holding back anything, no ... no ... no .... making sure everyone knows just how fragile I am behind the curtains!
