At the start of this year I decided I've definitely got to make progress and deal with the trauma that I've gone through. For 5 years I've been living with 2 people within myself - the one I've always been who is a level headed, down-to-Earth business woman, and the one that was hurt; I still haven't brought the two of us together even though we live side by side.

I haven't come to terms with what happened and I feel that unless I can acknowledge it happened to me, I can't move forward; the shock and disbelief still lingers. I know I've got to face what happened and deal with it but I feel very frightened to have to face it full on. I still feel myself saying "These things don't happen, not in this World", but the other side of me is saying "Yes they do, it happened to me."

I'm trying to find some good books that I can read on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help me come face-to-face with reality and put things into perspective again and help stop the nightmares. Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks :tearyeyed:

Thank you David for the links. I've looked through the listings of books and picked out 3 that I like the look of. Once I've received and read through these, there are more there that I am interested in.
