Taking some deep breaths and reminding myself I don't HAVE to hurt myself
Waiting 20 minutes and then 20 more and 20 more until the urge goes away
Looking at a magazine

I'm sure there are more, but those are the ones I can think of.
I'm really struggling with urges today and REALLY trying to stay away from doing it.

It sounds like you have plenty of things to keep you busy and distract you.

Good luck at fighting the urges...you will feel so much better about yourself when you don't give in.

Yes, join me as a constant Positive List And 'Note To Self' Maker! :D

I have lists and notes for this situation, that situation, the other situation..... A helpful and positive note to just forgive myself and move back into the present and the future, for when I forget to listen to ANOTHER note........ hahaha :)

And I have cute little apps like Ultra Note and Color Note, so I can make them colourful and pretty, and stick them on the 'front pages' of my smartphone, and make some bigger than others....

And I'll kindly thank you to not ask me how many are stuck on the front pages of my phone at any given time. :)
