Oh, that caught me out the other day. I was totally confused and I legged it to my husband who is the computer whizz in the family to get it sorted out. He uses Norton on his computer and he was able to get the internet connection and was able to have a look at the Zone Alarm forum to find out what was happening. Also he was saying that the BT Helpline was saying that if you are having internet connection problems and that if you use Zone Alarm to check out the ZA site for help - I'm not sure how anybody was supposed to look at the ZA forum if they hadn't got a connection to find out what was happening Lol.

It also had changed a lot of my settings such as window size etc lol.

Disable ZoneAlarm and then try to connect (may require a reboot).

Better yet, uninstall ZoneAlarm - it's become a resource hog and all you really need these days is Windows firewall.

Thanks David,

My husband set the FireWall setting to Medium and apparently then you can get the internet connection. We have one other computer that uses Zone Alarm and my husband said that he had to clear Zone Alarm and then download the latest version. Thank you for saying about the Windows Firewall, I'll look into that.

I also use CounterSpy which seems good.
