We used to have a working version of this back in the vBulletin days but it stopped working at some point. I finally figured out how to get it working again. 
To use it:

- Type the name of a public figure, e.g., Sigmund Freud, or topic, e.g., cognitive dissonance.
- Highlight the term you want to link to the Wikipedia site, and then click the Wikipedia W icon above in the editor bar:
- This will insert the necessary BBcode, e.g.,
[WIKI]Sigmund Freud[/WIKI]or[WIKI]cognitive dissonance[/WIKI]. - When you save your post, it will display the name or term as an active clickable link to the Wikipedia page, e.g., Sigmund Freud or cognitive dissonance
