Fibromyalgia, is it hereditary?

This question was present in my forum recently on fibromyalgia by a woman who wishes to start a family.

If anyone has any information they can provide I would appreciate it.

I have heard different things in reference to this being inherited.

I was of the thought process that it is from articles that I had read a while ago, and don't remember where they were from.

I remember my grandmother as I think back, had a ton of fms symptoms. I sometimes wonder if I was pre disposed to getting it and the injury that I sustained to my back brought this to the surface.

I would love to see a dialog on this with different points of view and if you have links to provide they would be appreciated greatly.
