It’s Your Move (IYM) is back and better than ever—join us October 21-22, 2011![/B]
Youth with Tourette Syndrome (TS) and associated disorders face a major gap in support during the critical stage between leaving school and entering the workforce. Amid this period of great upheaval, ominously known as a ‘transition cliff’, they are tasked with some of their toughest life challenges. Indeed, the sobering reality is that a high percentage of individuals with TS do not become employed full time.
IT’S YOUR MOVE is a nationwide, assessment-focused personal development program that helps enable youth with TS (14— 24 years of age) to identify their key challenges and target vital resources to address issues like self-awareness, life skills, self-advocacy, and employability.
The Youth Program at the 2011 TSFC National Conference in Ottawa, Ontario will be based on the principles of IYM and will be packed full of fun and adventure allowing youth with TS/TS+ to meet and interact with their peers from across Canada.
Additional program details and the IYM Scholarship application form are available for download here. The deadline for 2011 IYM Scholarship applications is 5:00 pm on Thursday, September 1, 2011.
