Hello, group,
How to phrase this....it's not a big deal, but it could be Big Brother. We were (at work) just advised that our corp is rolling out new badges. The new badges will be used (scanned, apparently like a credit card) to log on to our computers.
I'm thinking...bad, bad. When the badges don't work, frustated employees will be lined up outside of my door. On the other hand, if they work, it will be...an act of God.
Anyone out there ever survived a transition from "dumb" to "smart" badges?
I'm just curious if this works in the real world. Thanks and--oh--I'm skipping the "stinking badges" bit, but feel free to add your worst accent here.

P.S. Wouldn't it be fun to swipe your badge through a reader to answer your phone, too? The possibilities are endless.
