Im just wondering if Adverts.. Commercials really make you angry?
Recently i have been getting really really angry when they come on TV or The Radio... They Are Trying To Brain Wash Us Even More Now, For Those In Uk You May Know What I Mean... The Adverts Such As..

They are all annoying songs so they stick in your head... we are like carriers, robots, What are they doing to us! I get really really wound up about them, and feel no one else can see whats happening in this world. Everywhere... Everywhere you look its Avertisting... On the PC, Trackers, TV, Now on Ps3 Games they show adverts, On Buses, on Cars, In shops, Sports, On products, on the Radio...
Buy this... buy it now! now! here.. here. It just all goes round your (my) head.
They put secret signals in your brain, to make you want to buy things, hiddens codes, patterns etc. I cant handle it anymore i just cant.

I dont watch TV anymore, Hate the radio, Hate newspapers, im trying to block it all out but what can i do?! They are still finding there way to me.

Sorry for the ranty post... i dont know where it belongs, Im glad to have got all that out! phew!

Most commercials make me wince and curse. I can't stand them hence why I don't watch TV or listen to the radio, save for CBC Radio which has no commercials.

They're not brainwashing you, Ninja. They're just trying to get your attention so you'll remember the name of the productb when you're out shopping and buy it instead of a competitor.

I just feel they are trying to take us all over, tell us what to think, tell us what to do, pushing in every way they can, trying to control us... and no one really sees this. Gradually they have been doing it, I dont want to know what the future is going to be like, another 10 years. People will be getting tatoos, it will be all over cars next, people going round streets with tanoids, who knows what else. Anyway i feel a bit daft, i went to bed last night and kept thinking i shouldnt have posted that, i do that a lot!!

Unfortunately its all about money. The free market enterprise, and you are right, advertising is a very big part of it.

I have eliminated all I can from my life, have no cable television, rarely watch the 3 channels I do have. Listen to CBC radio,,,it is almost ad free. Don't read the paper, get the news I wanna read, online.

You can tune it out if you want to!!!

That Go Compare ad is very irritating and makes me cringe every time it comes on! Union Mary is right you can avoid some of it by not reading magazines, using blocking software on the net, and maybe turning over the channel on TV to a non commercial one. Watching some programmes on Catch-Up on the net can avoid some of the ads too.
