Facetime?

Hi,

My sister has just got an iPhone 4 so now we both have. We used Skype and it was pretty good but I was wondering about FaceTime? How does it work? Is it like Skype? How does it work when using it as far as it goes as being charged to use it?

Scared to press the button myself and was wondering if anyone had experience with it.

Sounds pretty much the same as Skype to me, though I've never seen it in operation. There may be more universal application with Skype with the ability to reach both Apple and PC users, if that's important.

I pressed it once and it said that this call might incur other charges with your network provider. So I'm not sure if you're charged for it extra. Not sure if it counts as Internet usage etc.

My mom and I use FaceTime but we make sure we're both on wifi so we don't use time off her cell phone plan. Because most plans charge based on how much you download you can incur charges quite quickly if you use if frequently, so we just make sure we're always on wifi to avoid thAt issue all together.

I have unlimited Internet usage on my plan so I guess that wont be a problem. Only problem is that my Internet isn't that fast so not sure how well FaceTime will work speed wise. And there's no wifi or any other connection available here in the hospital.
