Fontaine Sant? recalls salads over Listeria concerns

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning the public not to eat several kinds of packaged salads because they may be contaminated with Listeria.
The Fontaine Sant? Inc. salads have best before dates up to and including Dec. 26, 2011.
They were primarily distributed in Quebec and Ontario, but may have reached other provinces.
Earlier this month, the company recalled its Royal Couscous Salad amid contamination concerns.
Food contaminated with Listeria may not look or smell spoiled.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with the latest recall, but the bacteria can cause listeriosis.
Pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems are at higher risk. The infection can cause high fever, severe headache and nausea.
The company, based in Ville Saint-Laurent, Que., is voluntarily recalling all affected products.
