Nice to meet the lot of you! I'm Rattlecat...quite literally. Long story behind it.
Let's see...bit about myself. I'm a 21 year old graduate in Video Game Design, and I was fortunate enough to be placed in AP Psychology during those years. I became fascinated with how people's actions, lifestyles, and mindsets can be changed through both real life scenarios and video games, and I realized I wanted to specialize in therapeutic remedies using the creative arts. Video games, art, dance, theater, photography, etc.
A few years back, I had two friends, one of which was autistic, the other who was blind, and I pretty much spent most of my time learning how they each saw the world differently, and what I could do to make it better for them. I wound up being sort of a mentor to my friends online, helping through relationships, life problems, finances, emotional situations; the girl who's cell phone always rang with a 'client', pretty much.
Right now I'm pursuing a career in art, and I hope to branch into the psychology and therapeutic fields in order to help autistic children specifically, using art and dance to help them adjust to their world, and in general, educate people on how autistic people see the world differently, and what they can do to make both their world better for the autistic, and how to keep themselves from getting frustrated if they are dealing with a family member or friend who has the symptoms.
..S'about it really. Guess I'm here to kinda get a feel on the field, the lifestyles, and well, just spreading out to more people. :3
