After staring at a souvenir coffee mug that has sat on the table for a month, waiting to be glued back together after the handle fell off. I decided to attempt to glue it back together.

I got out the super glue, for which I should never have access too, and tried to glue the handle back onto it. Which ofcourse failed, but not before running off the mug and onto my middle finger.

I did manage to read the miniscule writing on the tube which gave directions incase of accident. After spending a half hour with my hand in, warm, ultra dish soapy water, my hand is like a prune, but luckily the glue came off. Further lucky I didn't adhere my fingers together.

As I had my hand in the sink, I was laughing. I imagined driving to the hospital with a Nova Scotia mug stuck to my left hand. Further imagined being pulled over by the police on the way :lol:

Needless to say, the mug is in the garbage as well as the tube of super glue.

I guess some things are just not to be. :lol:

Thought maybe you might enjoy a morning chuckle at my expense. I know I am laughing still.

I love the idea of you driving with a mug stuck to your hand what would you do if you came to a T junction?

I did have a little chuckle... glad you're having one too!

I think I'll wear gloves when I get around to fixing the wooden brooch sitting waiting to be mended...

At first I thought I read that you had to go to the hospital because the mug was attached to your hand.

I agree and for me too, I tried it once and glued everything except whatever it was I was supposed to be gluing, I never touch the stuff now. :support: Mari

Yes indeed, dangerous stuff! If it makes you feel any better, I have (on separate occasions!) super-glued my hand to a beach ball and to the wall of my bedroom.
