I just have a question about Trytophan being used in conjunction with Prozac. I have been prescribed both (40 mg of Prozac and 3 g of Trytophan). I am finding that I am waking up at approximately the same time every morning (hours before I have to get out of bed) and I am then unable to fall back asleep. My pharmacist gave me detailed print-outs of both medications and they do indicate that the 2 are not recommended unless under a physician's supervision (which is the case for me). Has anyone ever taken the 2 together?
Several months ago, I was on Prozac (only) and I relapsed (depression and anxiety came back as though I wasn't on any medications), and so Pristiq was prescribed to me. Pristiq did not work for me at all so I am starting from scratch again (depression and anxiety is at its worst once again) with Prozac. Has anyone found that 40mg of Prozac did not work, although 60 mg did/does?
Feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so very much.
