I feel we have been privileged to view the number of public apologies from various business tycoons, sports figures and political hacks in recent months.

Privileged because if we ever wanted to learn how to, or how not to correctly apologize, we have had the opportunity to view and hear numerous styles of articulating "I'm sorry". We've seen the good, the bad and the pathetic when it came to ways of saying "I'm sorry".

Not only that, some have added props to emphasize their contrition, such as flags or sympathetic bystanders in the background, or in the foreground. Others preferred to offer their apologies in front of what might only be described as a cheap Saturday Night Live set.

Whose apology most impressed you as being genuine and whose came across as a sham designed solely as a public relations stunt to save votes, customers and/or sponsors?
