Viibryd - side effects?

Hello,

I started on the antidepressant Viibryd in October. I was on 40mg. then went to 60mg around January and just changed to 80mg.

I am having very strange and sometimes violent dreams.

Does anyone else have this same problem with this drug?

My doctor said I'm the only one of his patients on it right now so he doesn't have anything to go by on it.

I've always had strange dreams and nightmares - thats nothing new to me, but the violent nightmares are new.

Viibryd (vilazodone) is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). These are known to make dreams seem more vivid or intense in some patients, although that effect tends to decrease over time.

SSRIs do not change the content of your dreams. They just make them seem more vivid and for that reason you may find you remember more of your dreams when you awaken.
