I had a little chuckle over this one, but coming from Oz and the land of knockers (which means....... knock a person down from the pedestal......those suffering from Tall Poppy Syndrome) I have never understood his/her appeal in any of his characters.

I'm really not a fan of Dame Edna either. I don't get the attraction of female impersonators, frankly, unless it's Monty Python which is totally off the wall.
