It reminds me of Apple's iWork and iWork online in conjunction with MobileMe (now iCloud). I don't work on a PC (except in the office), but hopefully MS is catching up to the times. It looks sleek.

They have modified the look of the interface on Skydrive to reflect the colors and layout scheme, which does not please my eye, though.

And Hotmail accounts are gradually being converted over to Outlook.com accounts... The big Office in the Sky.

People still use hotmail? (Just kidding - I remember having my first e-mail account with hotmail in my early teens.)

Maybe they'll send out an update where the user can customize the colors to suit him or her? I haven't seen the updated version yet.

I maintain a Hotmail account as a throw away email address, emails to places I don't trust and as a email address of last resort.

For users of Hotmail, when signing in, the interface for Outlook Mail is offered, but I was able to select an option to retain the Hotmail interface.

I use G-Mail as my junk e-mail, but that's nice they gave you that option to keep the Hotmail interface.
