AVG 8 bug fix: bin file is missing

Avg has a bug in it many have been affected including me, Avg are aware of it. This is a temporary fix. I have tryed it and it worked!!

open your Avg in the icon then press Tools then press Update from directory then press My Computer then press Program files then press file Avg then press AVG8 press ok the file was missing will return.

Thanks for that, sister ray.

I installed AVG 8 but found it sluggish a a resource hog. I uninstalled it and installed Avast instead.

I might have a look at that one, someone else suggested Avira. I still have the old AVG on the laptop as they are still doing updates. I do prefer it to Avg8, which slows everything down on the desktop. Maybe its time for a change!!!

That was my experience, too, sister-ray. I was happy with AVG until version 8

I've also heard good things about Avira but I tried Avast first and I'm very happy with it. .

According to the AVG site and avg forums this issue has now been resolved by their technicians
