I'm new here and I desperately need all your help. Has anyone read about Blushing Breakthough by Jim Baker? I have suffered too much from my blushing problems since I was 13. I am a loner and I can't stand to be like this forever!!! I want to do and try anything just to stop my blushing problems. Maybe anyone here have read or tried it? or any suggestions? Please help! Thanks!!! :(:(:(

Hello Earlyrain and welcome to Psychlinks!

Is it just the blushing that makes you feel uncomfortable or do you experience shyness and apprehension when interacting with others? Shyness is not unusual, and I've read about numerous people such as entertainers or others in the public eye who are actual very uncomfortable in a one on one situation.

You may find this article published by the Mayo Clinic on shyness and social anxiety interesting and may give you some insights.

Does it adversely affect your everyday quality of life or is it just a situational inconvenience? Have you ever discussed this with your family doctor or other therapist?

Thanks a lot Steve for your response and I greatly appreciate it. It controls my life coz I cannot socialize with people. I am also shy and have low self-esteem maybe because I am also ashame of blushing when many people are around me. It really affects my everyday life and even my work. I have tried to seek a therapist but I quit because I can feel nothing happens. I am thinking that it's within me or a physical reaction that cannot be taken away from me.

Did you discuss your therapeutic goal with the therapist? If so what was the goal and what did did you expect to happen or not happen through therapy?

My goal is to never blush again coz it's really hard. BTW, I already purchase the ebook I have said earlier. As I have observed some things are better now than before. I just hope everything will continue to work well.
