Boyfriend just confessed he wants someone else

I am in a long distance relationship and my boyfriend just confessed to me that he is still interested in his ex-girlfriend.

I told him he should go after her, and to come back to me once he's figured it out. He says not to get him wrong, that he respects his decision, that he's chosen me, but I told him it has nothing to do with respect. I told him he should do what he wants. I wish he wanted me, but I guess that is not the case...

Hmmmm...

I'm not sure what to do.
