It appears that there is a change in the way people will get paid DLA as from around January 2009, this is because DLA is now being paid by a different department and they will be paying everyone on a monthly basis, instead of weekly, people will be paid in arrears, because its in arrears it means everyone has to go without this benefit for a whole month which is going to cause serious issues for many people. I have today received my letter about this and am not happy as I cannot find the money from my other benefits so I rang back and complained and it appears they have the power to continue weekly payments if you push the matter, so anyone in the UK please ring and request weekly payments if you still want them and dont give in be firm with them.
