Would anyone know why Firefox,would purge all my bookmarks,history etc at least once a week? I start my firefox and my bookmarks are gone,history gone and my start page has to reset

I don't know. That has never happened to me before. I do see instructions for restoring the bookmarks:

yes it has happened to me and its annoying. There is hope though, try looking in the firefox folder for a bookmarks backup folder. Its in

C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxx.default

You need to go into tools>folder options and check the option to view hidden files & folders.

I think it keeps 5 backups of your bookmarks in html format.

I've been using Firefox exclusively for quite some time with iGoogle. Got tired of internet explorer.

Some folks claim Firefox is 'safer', but I''ve heard both sides over and over. Usually I get bored with computer talk due to burnout several years ago.
