I've seen visits to my website over the months which seem to come from these forums, so I thought I back-track to the source! It's good to see open discussion of mental health topics in a supportive environment.

I'm a psychologist licensed in NH and do an office practice there. I haven't yet studied all of the intricacies of online-type counseling, so I've shied away from it so far. But I'm happy to talk with media folks both traditional (print, newspaper, broadcast) as well as Internet (websites, blogs, news services) ... Enjoy talking about my main areas of interest: Marriage and relationship counseling, family life, personality psychology and its relevance to daily interactions, and psychology and behavioral health research. I do counseling for a living, but more for fun I enjoy sharing psychology with these media that inform the public and help folks think in new ways about age-old issues in living.

I don't know if there's a media referral list on the website, or a way to reach out to writers. If so, I'd certainly appreciate your e-mails.

Best regards to all.

Welcome to Psychlinks, Carl, we're glad you found us. I'll defer to David to address some of your questions, specifically that of online counseling.

Hope you'll find Psychlinks enjoyable and that you might join in our discussions.

I've got one foot out the door for a well deserved vacation trip with my wife, so I hope to continue our conversation on my return in a few weeks.
