Hello, I have joined this forum specifically to utilize the blog feature among like wise peers. Sadly it would seem I am forced into a situation where I must post a number of posts in order for this privilege. I must admit this makes me feel uncomfortable.

Is good to be transparent.

That's one post ... how many more are required?

TY.

Hello, unconditional. Welcome to Psychlinks. :)

What is it you want to do with the blog feature?

I just bumped you up a level so you can use it. You jumped the queue. :)

Thanks David.

Feeling more comfortable now. That said I was prepared to sit with a little discomfort, however the boost is preferable and much appreciated. :)

I have blogged at a few other mental health forums. One for some years running now. I just wanted to start off fresh in a new place was all.

I generally add a few photos of some of the things I do and where I go. Sometimes I add a few Vlogs. The online journaling is a place that helps to set new intentions, express stuff that I'd rather not act on in public situations. It's also a place where I make positive affirmations that help to keep me focused on previous set intentions. I use it to discuss what tools and concepts help me to keep going, to want to stay well and also to just accept my place and this world. I do go through a lot of cycling with ups and downs, however over the years my online journaling has been good source stabilization for me. So much so I was able to come off the antipsychotics and antidepressants. (Although I do not discount their use in the future if 'I' feel they are required.)

I mean not to imply I'm anti or pro meds. I'm just contrasting the benefits of my online journaling and how it's helped me sustain various lifestyle changes that have helped me overcome using other aids who's side affects acerbated existing predispositions as well as created new issues for me. Is how that journey was and is for me. I've been at this for an entire life time. I am what some may consider a complex and hard case. Thankfully over time I have learned to address many of these issues for myself. Journaling / blogging as described above is my way of transitioning from one life to the next - or in clinical terms; my form of recovery. Recovery not my choice word.

That's about it. That's all I want to do in the Blog Section.

Most of my 'conditions' have now been mingled into the ASD spectrum which kind of explains well my inability to communicate at the social level. Twitting and likewise hit and run responses leave me feeling too empty and also my overwhelming use of words is draining for the many.

I'll try to stay in my blog. :)

TY for the boost.

Much appreciated.

Edit ... Just letting you know I am still having difficulty with 'creating new post' in the Blog section. I do suffer with bad dyslexia which could mean its all me.
I'll keep trying ... but I get a dialogue box that says I do not have permission. Not to worry, I am sure I'll get there soon enough. : ) I'll work in office for now with an introduction to my New Blog.

Thx again.

It's late (or early depending on your geolocation and point of view).

at the moment, I don't see anything that should be restricting your ability to post in blogs. But I will come back to this and find out why you can't post there.

Found it!

Like many things vBulletin, there was a second setting that I needed to change.

You should be good to go now.

Let me know if you encounter any other difficulties with the blogs or the forum.
