Hello All

I'm new here as my thread title says.

I'm a psych student who has bi-polar disorder.

I'm :canadian: and am from Ontario.

I've been living with BD for probably most of my life, but it didn't REALLY start until I was 17 when it was a tentative diagnosis. I was comfirmed in the diagnosis in August of this year after a psychoeducational assess I had done through school because of my academic difficulties.

Now that I'm medicated on currently the lowest doses of seroquel and valproic acid I'm feel "normal" again. This is a feeling I haven't known since grade 10...so for 11 years I haven't felt myself.

It's great to feel human again and I have a wonderful husband who supports me, knows my triggers and loves me unconditionally.

I'm really looking forward to this new community, I tried another one but felt really ostrasized because of my psych knowledge. I'm hoping I can help others and help myself in the process.
So that's me in a nutshell.

Welcome Meg! Glad you found Psychlinks!

That's unfortunate. We welcome everyone, because everyone has something to contribute; whether it's from life experience or from advanced or professional training.

Your own training combined with personal experience should be of great help here.

Feel free to jump into any ongoing discussion or start some of your own.

Hope you will make Psychlinks part of your regular online activities.

It is too bad because some of us have both.
