Hello All
I'm new here as my thread title says.
I'm a psych student who has bi-polar disorder.
I'm :canadian: and am from Ontario.
I've been living with BD for probably most of my life, but it didn't REALLY start until I was 17 when it was a tentative diagnosis. I was comfirmed in the diagnosis in August of this year after a psychoeducational assess I had done through school because of my academic difficulties.
Now that I'm medicated on currently the lowest doses of seroquel and valproic acid I'm feel "normal" again. This is a feeling I haven't known since grade 10...so for 11 years I haven't felt myself.
It's great to feel human again and I have a wonderful husband who supports me, knows my triggers and loves me unconditionally.
I'm really looking forward to this new community, I tried another one but felt really ostrasized because of my psych knowledge. I'm hoping I can help others and help myself in the process.
So that's me in a nutshell.
