I don't know where to put this but anyway. About 5 years ago I lost my Dad to cancer. Anyway not only did that make me cry but I think it also added a lot of unhealthy stress. Anyway when you get turned down by someone or someone dies is it possible that instead of crying that it just adds to your stress level. I believe that I didn't cry for my Dad as much as I should have and I should have be upset when I got turned down. So instead of crying did I add a lot of stress into my life?

I don't believe there is any standard formula for grieving, and the number of tears shed does not indicate a person's sorrow for their loss.

Everyone grieves in their own way, at their own pace and there should not be any guilt because one's own grieving process does not compare to someone else's.

when you get turned down by someone....

Not sure what you mean by this question. Would you elaborate?

No, one can take something seriously without being upset. (And being "upset" by something has a variety of different connotations, anyway, IMHO.)
