We were working together Friday and Saturday night; I gat a phone call Monday morning, just before 7a.m. saying he was gone. I did not know Chip, but Jon worked part time with me in the Dept. of Public Safety at the College. Jon had a little girl about the same age as mine (15ish months), and one on the way. I take comfort knowing that he died a hero, giving his life trying to save another. Jon was always happy, always smiling. He really was the last of the "good guys". People look back on those that have past and try to find something nice to say about them, but was the type of guy that everyone liked. You would not be able to dislike him if you tried to.
