Hello

I am a 33 year old female that has been suffering from GAD and depression and recently added phobias ( certain foods, meds, crowded areas). I have been dealing with these issues pretty much on my own for a number of years until I realized that is has taken over my life like a addiction...:( I have successfully tired medication in the past (8 years ago) Lexapro and went off after a few months because I was completely better and continued being healthy, until 4 years ago.

4 years ago I had a baby and ended up becoming ill, eventually found out I have a condition called POTS "Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia" and the symptoms were very similar to GAD besides the excessive heart-rate upon standing so I actually started thinking maybe I didn't have GAD ever....Well I guess I have a mixture no-one really knows since anxiety has no blood testing.

So here I am seeking information and support.

My goal is to make my life more manageable, possibly get over my fears and take meds when they are needed, and gain some weight since I avoid so much food I am 93 lbs I'd like to gain 10-20 lbs.

I don't know how much coming on a website can do to help me but nothing else is working.

I hope to help myself and others:)

Welcome!! You could put your key-words in the search window at the top right corner of the page and look that way, but someone will likely throw some possibilities your way...
