Hello everyone! I'm new here and I've yet to really discover what this forum is all about. I'm Romanian and a recent psychology graduate. I am currently training in transactional analysis to become a therapist (I still have a few hundred hours of training to go before I can practice psychotherapy).
I found links to this forum in an article on "back seat drivers" in psychotherapy. I am mainly interested in psychotherapy topics, since I am a client as well as trainee, soon-to-be therapist.
At the moment, I am especially interested in discussions regarding clients' and therapists' subjective experiences of therapy, ethics, the various uses of each therapeutic school and incorporating elements from different schools of thought in developing one's own style as well as adapting to each individual client. I also write poetry (as well as publish and participate in poetry competitions and events) and I am especially interested in the use of poetry in therapy as well as the use of therapy in poetry.
Other schools of thought I am interested in or curious about are Rogerian therapy, Adlerian therapy, and art-therapy. Also, I am of course very interested in general psychology and any topics related to the human psyche. I look forward to participating on this forum and getting to know more people here and hear others' experiences and thoughts.
