I thought I'd introduce myself properly
I came across this forum by accident, I was looking for information on something and it popped up in my search results.
I'm not a professional, although i have toyed with the idea for many years. i have read a great deal on many aspects of the mind sciences and I maintain an open mind on the subject.
My main area of interest is relationships, violence, aggression and abuse and the motives behind these behaviours.
I have had my share of abusive relationships, and I am sure that I haven't always been totally innocent in the ways things panned out. It is often difficult to take an outside look at ourselves and how we motivate, manipulate and influence other peoples behaviour towards ourselves.
I'd also say that my upbringing involved no small amount of destructive narcissistic behaviour from my parents, where I was used in order to bolster their self esteem.
Anyway, I hope that my inputs, if not always appreciated, are thought provoking at least.
