sorry all, hope i am not trying to get reassurance but wondered if anyone can relate to this.

I am reading a book at the moment about mills and boons and i am now comparing my husband to the nasty one in the book (normally i compare him to the lovely one) and keep thinking 'if he's like that i cannot love him as he is really awful' and then testing if he would react like this or that - HOW IRRATIONAL IT'S A BOOK FOR GODS SAKE! does anyone else do this? also do they feel so overwhelmed but even though not actively thinking it, the gnawing worry is there and making everthing too hard to cope with? I even feel like my ears are sensitive like each sound is hurting my ears

oh sorry, i forget i am on the other side of the world. It romantic novels like Barbara Cartland (do you get her books there)

Can't say that I have heard of Barbara Cartland, but if you want to live vicariously through a novel, use any Jane Austen story and you will find the heroine always wins love despite being surrounded by overwhelming nonsense:)
