Recently I've noticed something strange happening to my dreams. I seem to remember my dreams not when I first wake up but throughout the day, usually I'll think or remember something that is somewhat related to what i dreamt about and I'll get flashes of images from my dream play through my head. Also I can recall dreams weeks after I've had them when I've only thought about it once when i initially remembered them, usually when I'm trying to go to sleep. Along with this it usually takes me 3-4 hours to go to sleep.

The dreams I have are stranger then what I've previously experienced, such as being on the death star with the monsters from the movie "Aliens" attacking and getting into a fight to the death vs. Darth Maul. I seem to die a lot but it's instant and i restart the situation over untill i'm successful, it reminds me of a video game.

It may be the antidepressants I'm on but I'm not sure.

It may be the antidepressants

It could well be antidepressant medication that produces vivid dreams. They may not necessarily be nightmares, but rather very colorful and vivid imagery.

This is the effect on adrenergic neurotransmitters in your medication and is not usually considered problematic unless you are disturbed by it.

Your doctor can advise you on your options if you find this to be a problem.

Other types of medications are also known to sometimes cause vivid dreams such as beta blockers.
