I am suffering inside dealing with Suicidal Images which I will not detail out of respect to other members. I am trying to block them from my mind and it is taking a lot of strength to do so.

It is scaring me, but I know I will not do anything as I have too much to live for, it is just so annoying that I get these images every so often..:help:

I get scary images too about suicide and self injury. I try to take some deep breaths and go do something other than what I'm doing to take my mind off the images. Sometimes it's hard to make them go away. Therapy has helped me learn to deal with them.

I just ignore them they only come when I am alone. I don't think I need therapy
I am glad you are dealing with them that is good for you!

In my opinion anyone who is having thoughts or images of suicide should seek the help of a mental health professional. Ignoring the thoughts or images may work for the meantime however I would be concerned when it stops working. Better to get the help now while you are still able.

Elizabeth,

Sometimes people have intrusive thoughts about doing bizarre things including comitting suicide.

You may wish to speak to your doctor about it and if there are other factors in your life that make you feel that suicide might be an option to consider, then it would be recommended to seek help.

Have you ever acted on these thoughts or have you thought of a plan for your suicide?

I have always been an emotional and depressed person, even when we do good things I still ruin it by being moody. Not all the time though. Mark will sometimes say "Just enjoy yourself"

I have never acted on my thoughts or planned my suicide as I have so much to live for I know I wont do anything.

I would speak to someone other than Mark but I dont have a doctor/therapist and am on a working holiday in NZ right now.
