Re: [book] Seeking Safety

Jazzey, another one that I am currently working through (although slowly ) is The PTSD Workbook. I have only done about a half dozen exercises and am working through it with my therapist but so far it seems quite good.

I also remember doing some work in The Courage to Heal Workbook however it was a really, really long time ago and don't remember much about it.

Re: [book] Seeking Safety

I did the Courage To Heal Workbook too. The one on PTSD sounds great. I did pages from Seeking Safety during my time at Daytox. I don't know how to go about getting the book itself.

I was told that ordering it through Amazon was the best way to get it LL...I've provided the link above.

Yes probably through Amazon however I don't know if there is a difference between Amazon.com and .ca . Something you may want to check into as I have never actually purchased anything from there.

I usually order from Amazon.com because their inventory is better. Often, they'll ship from a Toronto warehouse if the item is in stock here, but otherwise they'll ship from the US - either way I get the item, whereas using amazon.ca sometimes I won't be able to find it.

And I gave up on Chapters/Indigo a long time ago. If it's not in stock in the store, I can walk to the States and pick it up faster than they'll ship it to me. :panic:

I checked that out and for either I need a credit card which I don't have. I checked out the Seeking Safety site before. It seemed to me that the book was only available to those who wanted to teach the course.

Could be wrong - its been awhile. The course itself is really good. I recommend it.

I found this LL...I think you can pay by cheque: Seeking Safety (if you order directly from the site- they'll send it to you via email)....If I understood correctly.

And don't forget that there are always those pre-paid credit cards (which look like gift cards) that you can buy. I have seen them all over the place and there are ones for Visa or Mastercard.

I have never used one personally but I think that it would be a great idea for someone who either doesn't have a credit card or doesn't want to use theirs online.

I, too, bought the workbook, Halo, but haven't started working in it yet. It's sitting on my desk looking at me.

Which one TG? The PTSD Workbook? If so, I know what you mean...I immediately got excited about it, did about 6 exercises and then stopped and haven't picked it up since. It frightens me actually but I know that it is part of the healing process for me.

Each morning I wake up with a good intention of completeing at least one more chapter/exercise but most days I don't. Its okay though because this journey is not something that I want to rush.
