It's not uncommon for people to be very angry at the person who commits suicide. Although grief can be expressed via anger, I have seen people so angry and disgusted at the "weakness" of the deceased that they failed to attend the funeral. This does nothing to help the deceased family, but merely causes even more pain.

I have written a series of articles on the varying reactions of people to a successful suicide. You can read them at youronlinecounselor.com

I hope this will help family members who have been additionally hurt by the reaction of people to their deceased loved one.
Best,
Beth
