Perhaps if I translate here...what has been going on up here (my brain) then I can put it all into better perspective and be rid of it.I am sorry but this is going to be a long winded post.
Background-Over the winter,a friend of mine has been dealing with a stray kitten. He has been feeding it etc and his two kid fell in love with her.The friend that has been battling depression is living there temporarily (her ex husband's house)We all live in a small village,so our houses aren't far from each other.Anyway...since I have been helping my friend,I have been to her ex's house and seen the cat.She is very sweet, but was very thin (around 8 months and 5lbs!)
My friends mother is also staying at the house in order to help care for her daughter (my friend) and also fell in love with the kitten. But due to circumstance, she was unable to take the cat to her own home immediately. The cat became ill and we took her to the vet.My friend's,mom and I split the cost of the vet bill and kitty had all her shots and was on meds for her throat.I brought her home to rest, because the vet said she could not go outside while she was sick.I put kitty in a room of her own and gave her meds, fed and played with her and took good care of her..
Kitty is NOT litter trained! and I have two cats and two dogs of my own and chaos began when kitty moved in....So here is a break down of last Tuesday when I brought kitty home and tried to litter train her
Kitty pooped on my bed twice
Scooter (our yorkie) pooped in the dining room twice
Noel (16 year old cat) Peed on my bed
Fergus (1 year old golden) peed on living room floor
Clearly resident pets were NOT happy with new addition and I knew I had to rehome her..My friends mom said she couldn't take the cat right away and I couldn't keep her,so I did what I thought was best and took her to a lovely rescue, where I knew she had a great chance of being adopted out.
Cue to 4 days later-friends mom wants cat back UGH!!!!!! I signed a waiver from the rescue and so I was out of it.I gave the lady the rescue's card and told her,she would have to try and get the cat back herself. She tried to get the cat back and the rescue said NO...because the family had allowed the cat to remain for the most part a stray. So now everyone is MAD at ME for giving cat up.
When all of this was going on the following happened.
Besides dealing with cat and dog poop and pee...the same day I took the sick cat to the vet I found out oldest daughter was pregnant....dealing with that.............then we sold our pool and had to put up with strangers in our backyard for 3 days.....dealt with that. All the while dealing with anxiety over falling off a railing in Quebec city....dang it..when it rains it pours.
It has been a whirlwind past two weeks and I am drained
