Hi,
I've not posted a computer related question before and am open to being advised if this query is for any reason inappropriate. Thanks
Tonight, when I turned on my PC for the first time in many weeks, I received an automatic notification to download Windows Service Pack 3. Since I had already downloaded it without *seeming* to have had a problem with my laptop, I did as requested. Now I find that I cannot boot up past the Windows acknowledgment screen - just prior to getting the Desktop up.
Has anyone else had this problem with SP3?
I'm now questioning whether downloading SP3 isn't also the reason that I can no longer use my Toshiba setup disc to reformat my laptop in order to clean it up from scratch.
As for my PC, I don't know enough about it to know what to do except to try to reformat it from the original setup disc - if it will do that. I've tried different boot-up options available on the PC but none work. It doesn't matter what I do, it still comes up the same.
Hope others have an idea of what's going on.
Thanks,
amastie
