i just wanted to share how much therapy has been helpful to me, and hopefully provide hope to others who are still in a very difficult place emotionally and are receiving therapy or are thinking about therapy.

i've been in therapy for just about 3 years now, for most of that time i never really knew if i would really heal and recover. i needed it to be able to cope with the day to day (i was suffering from clinical depression), so i kept with it. it kept me afloat.

to my amazement, and this has only been very recent, i feel just about completely rehabilitated. i still can't believe how okay i feel, how okay i am, how interesting life has become, and the energy i have. i have a passion for life now. me! i never dreamed i could ever feel this way.

i highly, highly recommend therapy to anyone out there suffering or struggling with their life. i highly recommend it to anyone out there who's fine day to day but have things that regularly trip them up. issues are draining, and to work on those in therapy and get those resolved is fantastic. you may think things are good enough, and that's great, but if you do feel something could use some tweaking in your life, no matter how "small" you think it is - go for it. it is so worth it. it really is.

don't deny yourself a healthy happy you, a you that no longer suffers. you are worth it. take the plunge if you haven't already, and if you have, stick with it, even if it doesn't seem like you will ever get anywhere. you are getting somewhere, the changes are just so gradual that it's hard to see.

keep working on it, persevere, the pay-off is what you would never have dreamed of.
