I am seeking refuge in a grounded, serious and friendly forum. I am coming from a support forum where our posts were (without notice) linked to Twitter and Facebook. Anyone can click under posts and our post goes right into T or F. I don't want anyone, except the other posters, reading my personal thoughts about my illness or my support for another poster.

I am very happy to be introducing myself. I am single and live in central Texas. I'm working on a book on Indian Rodeo. I've traveled all over the southwest and central northern states.

I've recently been gifted with two red slider turtles which are coming home with me tomorrow. I've collected terrapins for my flowerbeds but never had aquarium turtles. I am a photographer, first and foremost and a jeweler. I work in a library when I am not out and about with my camera.

The other forum linked your posts to your Facebook account and Twitter account??? :eek:mg:

That is horrible.

There are guests who can browse our forum here, but there is no disclosure of your email address or linking to your Facebook account etc.

Sorry that happened to you at your old forum, I wouldn't be comfortable with that either.

:welcome: to Psychlinks! Glad you joined us! :D

Thank you for the welcome!
It was quite traumatic to learn this morning that we could show up on the administrator's page on either social network. In fact I went to his account and clicked on a poster's link and it led me back to the forum and then led me right into the thread. I saw about 20 posts, all by different posts.
There is a huge uproar going on there tonight. I'm out of it.
