I wanted to share, a little, of a recent experience that did my heart good.

Following a recent surgery, I developed an important complication. I chose to ignore the complication, for a variety of reasons, of which none, I now realize, were particularly good.

At the time of my surgery, there was a very kind nurse assisting. She knew a little of my background and even offered to hold my hand during the surgery.

For the last week, she has called me at home, at work and persisted even when I didn't return her calls. I think that she instinctively knew that I would try to 'run for the hills'.

Because of this kind woman's persistence, sensitivity, and her willingness to really understand my issues, I have now dealt with the complication.

I wanted to share this recent experience because I thought it was important. What may have seemed to her like a small gesture effectively changed my mind frame enough to allow me to deal with an important health issue.

Thanks for sharing Jazzey. That is a great story of kindness and I am glad you got your complication looked into.

Hope you feel better now.

Thanks ITL - this circumstance really did touch my heart. Now I'm simply trying to find a way to thank this person. I'll figure something out. Christmas is around the bend - I'm sure I'll think of something.:)
