you have mentioned the language barrier a few times and I was wondering if maybe your wife could take a class to learn the language. Local colleges and sometimes community centers have classes that are not too expensive to take. This would put her in a class where others are in the same situation as her as far as trying to learn the language. They would all have the same goal and maybe she would find friends there and be able to connect with people. Also if she has a hard time studying, colleges have tutors and other places that teach the class would be more then willing to take the time to go at her pace. It seems like if she could accomplish this task then other problems would be able to be address and handled better. Good luck to you.
