I was just diagnosed with OCD and Disassociative Identity Disorder. I've been in the psych ward twice in the past two months. I agree 100% with the diagnosis. I've always been obsessive and distant. I completely shut down when faced with a problem. I become a totally different person. Actually 4 different people live inside me. My shrink put me on Rispiridal. It helps keep me calm. The only problem is I don't know what to do next. I don't know how to overcome the D.I.D. I don't want to be like this anymore. My shrink says I don't need therapy. I think I do. What can I do?

Heh. Yep. I agree with Dr. Baxter. You do need therapy, hon. You shouldn't be expected to get through this on your own.
